Betaine HCL + pepsin is a digestive aid used to treat indigestion, heartburn, and nutritional deficiencies caused by insufficient stomach acid. Risk of low stomach acid (hypochlorhydria) increases with factors such as age, stress, and smoking, or long-term use of antacids.
Betaine HCL is a combination of betaine (an amino acid derivative) and hydrochloric acid. Betaine HCL may also play a role in aiding heart health by decreasing homocysteine (an amino acid associated with plaque buildup in the blood stream) levels in healthy individuals.
Suggested use
As a dietary supplement, take 1 capsule daily with 8-12 oz of water or as directed by your healthcare professional.
